Omg, I’ve just started watching this show myself, starting from its second season, so I can’t really describe their characters all too well. But I’ll try (with a little help from wiki xD):
Ichabod Crane is a former Oxford history professor who becomes a captain in the Revolutionary War (He was enlisted to fight in the British army, but grew weary of the tyranny in America through British rule and defected to the Continental Army, serving under General George W.). Crane now somehow finds himself in present-day (21st century) Sleepy Hollow after dying in battle against a Hessian soldier - a soldier who fought for the British against General George W. and the Colonials - this Hessian soldier is now known in present day as the Headless Horseman.
- Ichabod has an eidetic memory which allows him to easily remember things he sees and hears, even tastes and smells, with perfect accuracy.
- Ichabod is highly knowledgeable in regards to the occult.
- Ichabod is fluent in a number languages which include English (Modern and Middle), German, and Greek.
- Ichabod is in excellent physical condition.
- Ichabod is very observant and is skilled at reading peoples’ expressions.
- Ichabod is an experienced swordsman, marksman, and hand-to-hand combatant.
As he is still learning to adjust to the modern world, Ichabod is at times oblivious and naïve to the things around him. He is also very skeptical and critical about things he does not yet understand or is newly introduced to. For example, using a laptop, coffee, doughnuts, etc. He is still learning, with help from Abby, and as a result he has learned to appreciate certain things in the modern day world.

Grace Abigail “Abbie” Mills is a police lieutenant in the small modern-day town of Sleepy Hollow. At a very young age she had a mysterious encounter with a demon named Moloch that upended her life and led to a long term estrangement between her and her sister that she is just now repairing.
Abbie is generally viewed as a durable and valiant woman. She’s not easily weakened and is quick to defend herself and others. Nevertheless, Abbie’s experiences throughout her life has given her a tough exterior, which has also made her reserved and quite the skeptic. However, with these experiences, it has trained Abbie to be empathetic with others. For instance, she was able to relate with Ichabod when everyone labeled him crazy. Throughout her partnership with Ichabod, Abbie has been exposed to many things she once doubted, lowering her skepticism.
Despite all that she’s been through, Abbie has shown to be protective, and loyal to those close to her, caring to an extreme extent on their well-being. When her mentor, August Corbin, was killed she was devastated by his death.
Waking up in a cave in 21st century Sleepy Hollow, Crane is shocked and in awe by the strangeness of the time. He first meets Abby when he is arrested and mistakenly accused for the death of Police Sheriff August Corbin - which was actually caused by the Headless Horseman, who has returned and is decapitating people throughout modern day Sleepy Hollow.
Ichabod and Abbie have a strange relationship. They share a deep connection despite just meeting. When Ichabod decided to drink poison to break the link between he and the Horseman of Death, killing him, Abbie began crying and tried to tell him that there was another way.
Abbie calls him, ‘Crane’ and not by his first name. Ichabod refers to Abbie as, ‘Ms. MIlls’ or ‘Lieutenant’. Only when he was going to die from the poison, and when he wanted answers about the son he did not know about, did he call her ‘Abbie’.
Abbie tends to think Ichabod may be crazy, considering some of his ideas and plans, but she always ends up trusting him. She said before, “This is crazy!” when he told her what he believed the Horseman was after. Ichabod replied, “Which makes it no less real.”
Ichabod and Abbie both trust each other and are very honest. Abbie helps Ichabod fit in and understand things in this new century. Ichabod helps Abbie to understand things from his time, especially the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Abbie replied to Ichabod when he questioned a Supermarket, “I will take you there someday!”
They are both very sarcastic to one another. Despite meeting not too long ago, they are good friends and colleagues. Ichabod is protective of Abbie, as shown he always leads if he thinks it’s dangerous. He doesn’t want her getting hurt at his expense. While they were trapped in Lachlan’s mansion, after they escaped, Ichabod went back to kill the beast for trying to hurt his wife and son, and he refused to let Abbie come.
It was also shown that Abbie is the only person besides Katrina who knows how to calm him down. When he found Katrina’s necklace with the Horseman of Death, Abbie told him he had to stay calm, and he screamed, “I am calm!” which startled Abbie. After she talked him down, he was stable again.
Crane is also very loyal to Abbie and always makes it a point to remind her they’ll always be together - defeated or victorious.
…Err, sorry if this seems like a lot of info to take in. xD I couldn’t think of a way to describe them w/o going into detail. I hope it was useful…
If not, here are more pictures of them:
If you have anymore questions, just ask! Also, thank you so much for taking up the offer to draw them for me <3333 You’re too kind.
